Selborne Golf Course was created in 1985 when Denis Barker decided to turn his diary stud farm into a golf course. The golf course is a superb masterpiece affording golfers breathtaking scenery as they weave their way through manicured fairways and coastal forest. Selborne is one of the premier championship golf courses in the country and well justified considering the amount of both professional and amateur golfers from around the world who return every year.
THE COURSE Selborne is a parklands course set in a resort environment with indigenous natural life where the houses don't impose on the golf course. The course, while beautifully maintained still has a lovely rural feel. It is quite undulating, and has a nice mixture of short and long holes and lots of water with the hazards not being that confrontational. The signature hole; the par-five third is a unique hole, curving and sweeping downhill through an avenue of trees and bush to a green protected by water. Selborne is consistently ranked in the top thirty golf courses in the country.
FACILITIES The course has a Pro Shop on hand for any of your golfing requirements. There is a driving range, practice green, halfway house and restaurant.
DIRECTIONS Follow the N2 South from Durban for about forty-five minutes, and take the Sezela off-ramp. Turn left and the entrance to Selborne is about four kilometers from the N2 at Pennington.
