Rovos Rail has designed a delightful nine-day safari to entertain the most discerning player with optional excursions for non-playing guests at all venues. The Golf Safari begins in Pretoria and travels west to Sun City in the hills of the Pilanesberg for a day at this renowned facility including a game drive for non-golfers. In the foothills of the imposing Drakensberg Mountains, 18 holes await at the Champagne Sports Resort with a guided tour of the battlefields a further highlight for non-golfers. Enjoy a game at Durban Country Club (or Beachwood) or tour the city. Then it’s on to Zululand for game viewing at Hluhluwe before heading to Swaziland. Tee off at Royal Swazi or enjoy a game drive at Mkhaya and a visit to Ngwenya Glass and Guava Gallery. Golfers then play the challenging Leopard Creek course (dependent) while non-golfers enjoy a game drive in the world-famous Kruger Park, after which this memorable journey ends in Pretoria.
Depart Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria and travel to Rustenburg for an overnight stop.

Disembark at 09h00 for a city tour of Durban followed by lunch with the golfers at the Durban Beachwood Country Club. Golfers morning tee off.
Enjoy an early morning game drive in Hluhluwe Game Reserve. 11h00 Brunch as the train departs for Mpaka, Swaziland
Morning tee off at the Royal Swazi Sun while the non-golfers will enjoy a game drive in Mkhaya Reserve. Visit Ngwenya Glass with restaurant lunch and shopping. 18h00 The train departs for Malelane in South Africa.
Golfers: Morning tee off at Leopard Creek (dependent) on the Crocodile River.
Non-golfers: 08h00 Game drive in the Kruger Park followed by lunch at Buhala Lodge and curio shopping.
19h30 Enjoy dinner on board as the train travels to Witbank for the overnight stop.
Enjoy breakfast as the train departs for Pretoria.
