Overview

St Francis lies just 90 kilometres west of Port Elizabeth, approximately 682 km from Cape Town. St Francis has great accommodation, world class golf courses, good restaurants, and an attractive small harbour at Port St. Francis. St Francis is known for its little man-made canals and waterways that lend directly to boating, swimming and other water sports. St Francis is home to dolphins, whales and a white sandy beach that offers safe bathing on the coast and opportunities to fish off the rocks. Surfers flock here, as St Francis is known for its waves and has a fabulous beach that is surrounded by nature reserves. The nature reserves come alive with the calls of birds and allow tourists to escape from the city life. St Francis is clean and green, where tourists can see a century old Seal Point Lighthouse and penguin rehabilitation facility amongst the fynbos and wild waves.

The links at St Francis is a championship course that offers the golfer every challenge and reward the game has to offer. As the course lies between seven natural dune scapes that move from east to west, the course plays equally well, yet very differently as the wind changes in direction. One might say that there are two courses at St Francis Links – the East Course and the West Course!
